Cavs Win 8th Straight Game After Dispatching Philly
Cleveland's poor start to the season could soon be a distant memory.
Riding a 7-game winning streak heading into yesterday's contest @ PHI, Cleveland kept it rolling behind a valiant effort from LeBron James & a strong performance from the reserves.
The first meeting between LeBron James & Ben Simmons (10 pts, 8 boards) went to the Cavs, who capitalized on a big 4Q (outscored Sixers 27-18) to maintain a large advantage. The theme of Cleveland's recent winning ways has been complementary scoring & ball movement - last night was no exception: CLE shot 48% from the field, had 25 dimes v. just 11 TOs.
LeBron poured in another starring performance: 30, 14 & 6 dimes on 52% shooting. Dwyane Wade (15, 5 & 4 boards), Jeff Green (14 & 10 boards) & Channing Frye (12 pts) all reached doubles off the bench, a proven recipe for success.
So has CLE (13-7) finally turned the corner? 8 straight is impressive following a 3-5 start. How long will the streak last? -- next up: v. MIA (11/28)
Joel Embiid paced PHI (11-8) w/ 30 & 11 boards -- next up: v. WAS (11/29).
