Celtics Take Down Lakers For 10th Straight W

Despite hits to the roster, Boston keeps on pushing. After dropping the first two games of the season, the C's have reeled off 10 victories in a row - longest active streak in the league & the first team w/ 10 Ws.

It hasn't come in dominant fashion but Boston's grind it out, defensive-oriented play style has helped overcome injuries & always has them in position to win down the stretch. Also, depth is playing a huge role early on, with last night serving as a perfect example:

V. LAL, BOS was without Al Horford (concussion) and lost talented rookie Jayson Tatum to an ankle injury in the first half. In place of Horford & Tatum, Aron Baynes (career-high 21 pts & 8 boards) & Terry Rozier (14 pts, 8 boards) were amongst the many Celtics who stepped up to help secure another win.

Brad Stevens did an excellent job of mixing & matching lineup combinations, a recurring theme thus far. With so many strong, disciplined defenders across the roster, that side of the ball doesn't suffer much when pieces are missing.

And once BOS can build or sustain a lead riding defense, K. Irving (19, 6 & 5 dimes last night) and co. can step & close the deal.

Balance + discipline = BOS's keys to success. A young group (7 rooks on the squad!) with a true, closing superstar, don't expect the wheels to fall off anytime soon.

The C's look for 11 straight tomorrow v. CHA.
