Chicago Bulls: 5-7
CHICAGO BULLS (5-7)
QUICK NOTES:
• LAST GAME: The Bulls moved to 5-7 last night after a surprising victory v. the Knicks in Madison Square Garden. CHI built a 22-pt. 3rd-quarter but saw it evaporate quickly - NYK went on a furious rally to make it a back & forth affair down the stretch. After Coby White hit 3 FTs to put CHI ahead, Jalen Brunson narrowly missed a turnaround J to win the game.
Zach LaVine led the way w/ 31 for Chicago. Chicago now sits at #6 in the Eastern Conference.
• ROTATION TWEAKS: Billy Donovan’s been experimenting w/ his second-unit wing rotation lately: v. NYK, rookie Matas Buzelis and Ayo Dosunmu were first off the bench, with Dalen Terry coming in during the next wave. Lastly, second-year forward Julian Phillips saw backend minutes, but played a solid, 4th-quarter role (hit a key corer three). CHI’s bench combined for 29 pts.
• INJURY UPDATE: Lonzo Ball remains out indefinitely (wrist)
