Calling Klay Thompson a lights-out shooter & strong defender doesn’t quite do him justice – in his prime, Klay got hot faster* than anyone in the NBA – literally impossible to stop once a few shots fall; an open 3 is a layup - Klay’s the definition of a pure shooter: can make shots from anywhere on the floor (crazy heat checks), despite varying degrees of difficulty – loves coming hard off pin downs, very good post player & patient finisher (loves to take his time on midrange jumpers & turnaround Js over smaller defenders); Klay sets his own standard as a ‘rhythm’ player – avoids falling into extended, ice-cold stretches; a little arrogant, which is good? – never changes expression, which is good; one of the greatest long-distance shooters of all time: 4x NBA Champion & 5x All-Star; re-integrated into GSW’s lineup in 2022…won the Finals later that season; Dubs legend who’s now in Dallas in pursuit of another title – Klay’s presence changes everything for the Mavs
