Santi Aldama flew below the map at Loyola (MD) - surprise pick at 30 in 2021 - very adept, 6’11 big with an effective style for the league; not just a scoring prospect at the 4/5: Aldama actively looks to create avenues for teammates to get buckets, looks for cutters; OK outside shooter at this point; pretty solid footwork & speed off the dribble, especially for his position; doesn’t easily give up on plays, has a (good) habit of making multiple efforts to keep the possession alive; putting on more weight will aid his both his finishing ability at the rim and his effectiveness as a vertical rim protector and rebounder; Star UnderDOG: had a lot of personal bright spots during the 2023-24 season: Aldama’s assumed a larger role through consistent play
