Highlight Mix ft. Scottie Barnes!

When the Toronto Raptors selected Scottie Barnes 4th overall this past draft, very few pundits identified him as a potential Rookie of the Year candidate in 2022. On a veteran-laden roster with a couple of different similarly-sized playmakers & defenders, Barnes more than held his own as he vaulted to the top of TOR’s hierarchy as a consistent, go-to force.

Alongside Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby and a versatile rotation, Barnes averaged over 15 points, seven rebounds & three assists as the Raptors captured a surprising playoff berth despite injuries and a disjointed start to the season.

When you analyze Barnes as a prospect, it’s easy to see how comfortable he already is as both a one-on-one defender and shot creator. At 6’9, Barnes does an excellent job of leading the break and finding the open man or taking it himself for a vicious flush. As his three-point shot & overall game off the dribble continues to polish up, we’re truly looking at an unstoppable, two-way force.

The only remaining question is: What is Barnes’s ceiling as a player?

Vol. 1 of his highlight mix gives a quick glimpse into possible superstardom.
