• Miami’s injury problems = (obvious) major concern; Goran Dragic (foot), Bam Adebayo (shoulder/wrist) & Jimmy Butler (ankle) were all banged up/could miss time moving forward
• Lakers role players stepped up and hit big shots - Danny Green & KCP combined for 24 pts & 5 triples, Caruso & Morris added 18 off the bench
• Heat had trouble matching LA’s size, should consider promoting Kelly Olynyk to the primary rotation to try and lessen the load on smaller matchups v. AD (speaking of…)
• AD was met with little to no resistance v. MIA’s smaller frontline - primary defender (from the jump) was Jae Crowder - finished w/ a game-high 34 pts
• LeBron dictated the flow of action very well (9 dimes v. 2 TOs), was defended by a few different people throughout the game: notably, Jimmy Butler & Andre Iguodala (again!)
• LA led by as many as 32 but was outscored 31-23 in the 4th, leaving MIA with a little momentum heading into Game 2; Kendrick Nunn played major minutes for the first time since the bubble started, responded well w/ 18 pts in 19 min. - an option to start if Dragic is out for a significant period of time
