MVP Blake? Extremely early but it's a real possibility.
For the first time in a few years, B. Griffin is the primary playmaker for the Clips. With the freedom to push the break, attack off the bounce, pop back for treys (3/6 @ LAL), and dribble drive, Blake has every opportunity to impose both a physical & skillful game.
On Opening Night v. LAL, Griffin started opposite L. Nance Jr.
Though Nance Jr. isn't a slouch defensively, Griffin got going early w/ a variety of scores, including:
• post-breakdown paint drive
• slipped screen, roll finish
• coast to coast flush over J. Randle
• 29 pts, 12 boards, 3 dimes
Doc Rivers's frontline will account for a majority of LAC's points -- D. Gallinari (6'10), D. Jordan (6'11; 24 boards in the opener) & Griffin (6'10) will have a huge size advantage on a nightly basis.
Once afforded enough playing time, Griffin will establish an even better rhythm as leading man.
