Denver then signed Jefferson after he cleared Atlanta's waivers and cut Jameer Nelson to make space for Jefferson. Now, the Pelicans are cutting Jordan Crawford to make space for the Nelson signing.

All semantics aside, the 14-year vet should provide stability to a backcourt clearly in panic mode right now. Even at age 35, Nelson posses starting-level ability in today's game, with one of his most important assists being shooting, as he shot 38% from three last season with Denver.
