Philadelphia is off to a (very) respectable 7-6 start, good for 7th in the East.
At the three spot, Robert Covington (Star UnderDOG) has performed well, is settling in as one of the league's upcoming two-way threats.
This year, Covington's taken adv. of improved selection & patience on the perimeter. The beneficiary of clean outside looks (via dribble penetration from B. Simmons, J. Embiid post-ups, etc.), Covington is shooting a career-high 50% from the field (50% from deep!).
RoCo's defensive reliability is never in question - a long-armed athlete, he constantly works for deflections & loose balls, while possessing the ability to disrupt/break up plays before they happen. And if his shot is dropping, PHI's harder to stop (more PT for Covington, better spacing for Brett Brown).
31 pts, 6 boards, 4 dimes, 4 steals @ LAC
Pretty complete night for Covington, who contributed big (on both ends) in the 4th. Two late, back-breaking triples (and FTs) helped PHI secure its 5th road W of the year.
