Before Sunday’s game vs. Indiana, coach Gregg Popovich met with Tony Parker and told him he "thought it was time" to go with someone else in the starting lineup.
Second-year guard Dejounte Murray will be starting for the Spurs.
Parker stated, “I'll try to do my best. I support Pop's decision, and I'll try to help DJ out as best I can and try to be the best I can in that second unit with Manu [Ginobili] and Patty [Mills]."
Parker, in his 17th season, has appeared in 21 of 48 games, missing time due to injury (quad & ankle). He is averaging 8.0 PPG, 4.0 APG, & 2.1 RPG this season.
