Portland Trail Blazers: undefeated Summer League champs.
After coming up short (v. LAL) in last year's final, POR got some revenge w/ a convincing, 91-73 victory.
Led by a balanced effort on both ends, the Blazers had 6 players reach double digits, while frustrating (Summer League MVP) Josh Hart into a rough shooting night (12 pts, 3/12 shooting).
A Vegas victory proved to be a win-win for Portland. Not only were they able to witness the first showcase of their new, impressive rooks (Gary Trent Jr. & Anfernee Simons), it served as an "audition" for veterans like Wade Baldwin IV (, Jake Layman, Archie Goodwin, John Jenkins & KJ McDaniels*.
Baldwin IV & Layman are looking for more PT, while Goodwin, Jenkins & McDaniels are fighting to return to the league.
All in all, Portland was too deep (and seasoned!**) to falter.
