PHI's undisputed X-Factor, (second-year forward) Dario Saric, is this week's tracking assignment. Last year's runner-up for Rookie of the Year, Saric has a very mature game, is fitting in very nicely in Philly's monstrous starting unit.
Stats: 11.7 ppg, 6.8 rpg & 2.1 apg
Though his scoring is slightly down from a year ago (12.8 ppg as a rook), Saric's impact on the glass has remained constant + his shooting has shown incremental improvement*. Serving as the perfect third leg alongside Joel Embiid & Ben Simmons should be the main objective - over the last 10, Saric's upped his production: 15.4 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3 apg.
With matchups v. MIN (J.Butler, A. Wiggins) & OKC (P. George, C. Anthony), Saric's defense and ability to take adv. of mismatches is important.
This week will keep track of how Saric complements both Embiid & Simmons (cuts very well inside paint, sometimes benefits from lack of attn by opp.) + his rebounding and ability to stretch the floor.
