There’s a few players from the 2020 Draft class whose games are starting to really take shape in 2022-23. Chief among them is Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Josh Green. Dubbed “Mr. Electricity” by Mavs faithful, Green is a firm rotation member after really improving upon his raw offensive game he flashed during his first few seasons.
Defense has gotten Green spot minutes in the past but this year, he’s maintained it while adding a consistent three-point game & becoming more aggressive looking for his shots if the ball finds him. At the same time, he isn’t forcing the issue if a clean look isn’t there: currently shooting 61!% from the field in just underr 4 attempts/night.
While Dallas has a very solid backcourt core, Green’s inclusion provides a dynamic unseen from the previous seasons since he doesn't really need shots to contribute and has the ability to check multiple matchups on the perimeter. As the season rolls along, expect even greater production - he has a real shot at crossing into Star UnderDOG territory come playoff time.
