The legend of Zion Williamson has begun.
Last night, Zion played his first minutes of NBA action, scoring 16 points & pulling down 7 boards in a 133-109 blowout over Atlanta. While the stat line might not jump out as much as it should, his tremendous strength + athleticism was on full display on more than occasion - didn't take very long for Zion to unleash his patented, one-handed tomahawk:
Scoring won’t be an issue in New Orleans this season - Alvin Gentry’s group is must-see TV, regardless of record.
If Zion goes above & beyond expectations (in yr. 1), they can surprise out West.
