NBA ROLE: VERSATILE FORWARD

Keita Bates-Diop’s a bit overlooked, has found his way as a notable threat on the perimeter; very patient attacker - waits a sec before deciding what to do; pretty decent shooter, KBD initially operated most effectively as an interior/midrange scorer but has steadily graduated to sniper status: can step out and cash spot ups; hybrid, scoring forward, though not much of a ball-handler; iso threat - needs to perfect complementary skills; very active defender - strong on the glass + as a shot-blocker; solid face up option, still working on turnaround J + options w/ back to rim; career-year for KBD in ‘22-’23 (avg. nearly 10/night, shot 39% from downtown) - traded w/ Nets (2024): accurate 3-pt. shooting will aid lead to time at plenty of time at both forward spots
