GRANT WILLIAMS (CHA)
UNDERDOG
NBA ROLE: VERSATILE, ALL-AROUND FORWARD
Grant Williams has Star UnderDOG written all over him - developing into a special role player; disciplined defensive talent w/ the skills to check multiple positions - great hands & anticipation lead to plenty of blocks & steals (makes uncanny plays); good set shooter, confident spotting up from the elbows & corner - pretty accurate shooter when left unattended; has a nice two-dribble push floater, needs to keep adding action after putting the ball down; able to push the break* & make a play after misses, improved ball-handling over college career; stat sheet stuffer, Grant offers a different element from other bigs; traded to hometown Hornets (2024): a skilled “hustler,” Williams is conducive to winning
*has some guard skills, more responsibility as a playmaker at some point?
