An athletic 5 outta Vandy, Damian Jones does work as a shot-blocker & 'up top' finisher – one of the league’s top big man athletes; worked hard to develop/expand offensive game: while Jones’s primary source of points comes near the rim, he has an underrated midrange J (can also step out and knock down the triple on low volume), gets buckets off transition opportunities & dump offs; pretty solid shot-blocker, can both protect the rim and hold his own v. certain switches defensively; not the best rebounder (especially considering his physical tools) – must focus in & make more of a name for himself on the glass; traded to Cavs (2023) – Jones is reserve shot-blocker/finisher that spells Jarrett Allen
