NBA ROLE: INTERIOR SCORER/REBOUNDER

Ivica Zubac: LAC’s man in the middle – you can bank on Zu for a nice amount of points & boards each night; has settled into himself: efficient catch & finisher, leans on a few moves down low + a 7’4 wingspan to be effective; Zubac takes his time when setting up shop, keeps the ball high for hooks and short Js; doesn’t really have an outside attack: solid midrange shooter but prefers to play in close; improves rebounder numbers each year: looks to control the glass, especially v. smaller matchups – Zu secures loose balls/creates extra possessions, stays active near the basket for put backs; good defensive instincts – stays vertical, gets his hands on a lot of shots, inlfuences difficult attempts; needs to continue working on faceup offense & maintaining productivity v. any kind of lineup; underrated big – Zubac gives Coach Lue a more traditional dynamic up front
