A Native of Japan, Rui Hachimura’s game is offense-oriented; very solid face attack - multiple options: jab —> midrange J, drives for hooks/layups/dunks; able to size up & get by opponents off the bounce - quick forward, takes advantage of mismatches; likes to fake, then find a way to another shot or basket drive - confident w/ step backs, stop & rise floaters; nice PnR partner, Rui can spot up or attack after the catch; decent outside shooter, must work on volume; able to consistently check matchup?; traded to Lakers, re-signed (2023) - Hachimura’s already captured a prime standing in Coach Ham’s rotation: X-Factor/3rd link to LAL’s dynamic frontcourt also ft.
