Memphis hit the jackpot w/ the 45th pick in the 2023 Draft: South Carolina’s GG Jackson can really get active; 6’9, new wave forward w/ some real moves off the dribble: GG loves wide crossovers, can string together dribble for clean looks off step backs and pull-ups; fierce scorer w/ diverse traits: good standstill shooter w/ a nice motion (doesn’t get much elevation spotting up but it doesn’t deter him), extremely confident getting his own bucket driving to the hole (good leaper, has the dexterity to finish above the rim or w/ a soft float/layup) - adept at scoring w/ either hand; promising defender who could specialize as an alternate shot-blocker someday; needs to work on crashing the glass and maintaining a healthy shot profile in his rotational stints; 2024 All-Rookie Second Teamer: GG significantly outperformed expectations as a rook - Future Top DOG who’s an X-Factor in ‘24-’25
