Luka Garza: highly decorated college player (at Iowa) w/ a deft touch on the inside; high release on jumper (keeps the ball above his head), likes to shoot from the top of the arc; gifted scorer in the lane: Garza’s got a few tracks up his sleeve w/ fakes —> hooks, faders & light runners; works well in the mid post - prefers to turn and rise with his J, can put the ball down and pivot into a hook shot; huge rebounding numbers will come outta #2 - Garza’s natural to the ball + will consistently be matched v. smaller players (could really control the glass as a way to earn more PT); will take some time adjusting to the speed of the game, might not hold the same value v. some faster/smaller lineups; continuing on his upward track of better conditioning is vital for his longevity (all-around skill will always keep him relevant as a contributor); on 2Way deal, can Garza earn backup 5 minutes in MIN?
