‘Money’ Mike Conley: a top tier PG who's been around the block – highly effective for over 15+ years in the league; Conley is excellent at initiating action – one of the savviest playmakers around; scientific, lefty J from downtown – drops hands when he’s feeling it – jumper is complemented by off-hand floaters: Conley’s righty* tear drop is rarely off the mark; perfect craftsmanship running the PnR, great decision-making – swerves back and forth before finding an opening, keeps the ball low; ‘fake-out’ PG: super crafty ball-handler, heavy feints; makes a lot of circus shots; very good defender, can disrupt the rhythm of some opposing PGs; pretty complete point guard, though injury prone; traded to T-Wolves (2023) – great connection w/ Rudy Gobert – veteran leader, steady decision-maker: another season of Conley at the helm should produce better results (for Minnesota) in 2024
