Alec Burks is an electric two guard w/ slick handles – herky-jerky style is tough to sit on – like a knuckleballer, you think he’s going one way, then he shifts his entire body in the opposite direction for an inconceivable finish at the rim; pure scorer: Alec Burks is a problem when fully healthy; downhill runner – strength, speed & sharp cuts of a running back; formerly a non-shooter, Burks has matured a ton: boasts an effective pull-up & outside J & realizes how/when to shoot v. drive; tough defender when pushed – it’s hard to earn a (low-key) defensive reputation when you can score like Burks AND usually come off the bench but Alec’s an exception; underrated playmaker, spent time as NYK’s starting PG in ‘21-’22; landed back w/ Knicks (2024) – Burks offers scoring + experience to Coach Thibs’s group
