ERIC GORDON (PHI)
HYBRID
NBA ROLE: EXPLOSIVE OUTSIDE SCORER
From Mean Streets to IU to the Association, Eric Gordon has always gotten buckets; back in the day, Gordon was a super low-key star* and was viewed as one of the league’s top two guards; nowadays, when healthy, Gordon is an instant-O Sixth Man who catches fire w/ the quickness; accurate sniper: shot release is slightly irregular (2K never gets it right!) but he’s not someone you ever wanna leave unattended from downtown; great ball-handler (A+ hezzies, can get a shot at any time), very good around the rim: Gordon features runners on the move, uses his upper-body strength and savvy to get in the lane (when he puts his mind to it); still liable to finish over the top if afforded a head of steam; average defender, more of a ‘jump shot’ finisher than playmaker these days; signed w/ Sixers (2024) – Gordon’s a veteran shooter for Coach Nurse
