Drafted straight outta HS (IMG Academy), Anfernee Simons has evolved into an impressive, shot-creating combo guard; tremendous skill from outside - high-volume 3-pt. shooter w/ a quick, fluid motion - has a lot of different ways to create clean opportunities; athletic, versatile ball-handler - Simons’s offensive arsenal has expanded over the last few seasons: great breakdown ability - nice back & forth, rocker cross into pull-ups or floaters, will drive hard (and put someone on a poster) if there's a beat to the rim; has proven capable of defending his position and gotten better attacking w/ his own offense v. setting up others - must maintain efficiency as he further develops into a go-to guy; very confident player who’s just scratching the surface: Simons has taken over as one of Coach Billups’s best players - counted on for lots of scoring next to Damian Lillard in the backcourt
