A hyperactive big, Richaun Holmes has an interesting game: able to face up, very capable near the rim – Holmes will catch a poster, finishes extremely hard off the roll catch; wingspan for days – gobbles up boards, has discipline as a help-side shot-blocker; great athlete w/ a quick second jump – Holmes’s short hook game aids his work on the offensive glass; very efficient in the lane, has a few ways to score after setting a screen; not a lockdown one-on-one defender but can hold his own; soft touch, confident J inside the arc, must eventually extend range & open another avenue to score; rim protector, rebounder + scorer in Washington; unheralded talent, Holmes flies under the radar – performs well when given enough PT: while contributing at a high level
