Highlight Mix ft. Jordan Poole!
2021-22 (so far): 17.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 44% FG
A huge reason behind Golden State’s impressive start to the season is the emergence of third-year combo guard Jordan Poole. Heading into the year, some were wondering whether Poole’s strong end to 2020-21 would translate over with more responsibility in the offense. Yeah…about that.
Poole’s in the conversation for Most Improved with career-highs across the board - avg. 17.9 ppg on 44% shooting from the field. Aside from the jump in scoring (12 ppg in ‘20-’21 to nearly 18/night), he’s extremely comfortable contributing a consistent chunk of Golden State’s offense on a game-to-game basis. With all of the obvious defensive attention on Steph Curry, Poole’s answered the call as a floor spacer & pseudo-shot creator in the starting 5.
Vol. 1 of his ‘lights features speedy, downhill attacking and rhythm shooting from deep.
