Highlight Mix ft. Ayo Dosunmu!
Just a few days into January, the Chicago Bulls sit atop the Eastern Conference at 24-10. A key reason behind their success is the play of the bench, a versatile group of “utility” guys capable of fulfilling multiple roles.
Rookie Ayo Dosunmu is chief among them - the Chicago native* fits right in as a secondary playmaker and strong perimeter defender outta unit #2.
Drafted 38th overall in this past draft, it was unclear how Billy Donovan would incorporate Ayo into the lineup prior to the season. However, he quickly made a mark as a short-minute G/F - made plenty of timely plays in notable victories v. Boston & Brooklyn, amongst other impressive performances. Dosunmu’s defensive acumen + basketball IQ serves as another steady presence in a lineup full of similar sized (6’5-6’7) guards (like Alex Caruso & Troy Brown Jr.) able to do more than one thing.
Vol. 1 of Ayo's highlight mix showcases his instinctive ability to contribute to winning basketball.
