Patrick Williams aka “The Paw”* had a very productive rookie season in Chicago: started all 71 games, he appeared in, shot 48% and quickly emerged as Billy Donovan’s #1 stopper, spending time on everyone from elite guards to star bigs.
Pat’s offensive game, though a work in progress, features a lot to like. Williams fully embraces the midrange game, with both of his signature movies (one-handed push floater & two-dribble jumper) coming from that zone. He also shot 39% from deep on just about 2 attempts/night. Aside from shooting, Pat’s shown the ability put the ball down and make plays for himself as a driver and transition finisher.
His further development and steady play is crucial for Chicago’s success in 2022.
