For Willie Cauley-Stein, establishing continuity has been a key goal throughout 2017-18.
Alternating between the starting five & second unit, WCS is playing his best ball since the turn of the year - 14.9 ppg in January, followed by 13.3 ppg in February.
In last night's OT victory v. BKN, Cauley-Stein played 34 minutes, scored 17 pts, pulled down 7 boards & dished out 7! assists. His ability to make the extra pass has improved this year, as well as finding cutting/streaking teammates down the lane.
Subtle improvements will continue to define the rest of Sacramento's season - Cauley-Stein, for instance, needs to improve overall consistency on the glass. He possesses the tools to avg. double-digit boards but doesn't always focus in on finishing plays.
He's capable of stepping it up - had a 15-board game v. LAL (on Feb. 24).
Can WCS build momentum as Dave Joerger's (undisputed) starting center heading into next season?
