NBA ROLE: (RAW) TWo-WAY PLAYMAKER

 

The son of longtime NBA vet & current Milwaukee Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin, AJ Griffin was an “upside pick” by ATL in 2022; ready for the league: AJ’s already blended in w/ the Hawks: nice punch on the wing who’s made a name for himself in limited action; “lights out” shooting potential* - brings a unique aesthetic: nice, high release, doesn’t often miss a couple (or more) in a row; great size & strength at the 2: Grffin leverages his body well on defense - could work very well as a positive, “switchable” wing; isn’t much bothered by a tough contest: AJ sticks it to disciplined defenders by deliberately getting to his comfort zones & rising up for mid Js & floaters without hesitation; ATL’s shooting guard of the future? 1st step is to fully corral the Sixth Man role in 2023-24
