NBA ROLE: HIGHLY CREATIVE, INSTANT-OFFENSE COMBO GUARD

 

Brooklyn’s Cam Thomas is a DOG: super scoring guard who can break for 30-40+ w/ regularity; will find a way to put the ball in the basket - very good control of the rock, has a lot of different ways to create room for a jumper off the bounce; excellent pull-up shooter (with countless set ups) who’s unbothered by a defender’s contest; advanced in-between game & float attack at his age: Thomas has push shots, midrange pull-ups, quick floats (one-legged, off two, against the grain…) & more in his bag; secondary playmaker at some point? Thomas needs to work on creating for others & making the extra read if/when available; prioritizing shot selection and effective team defense are two key stages of development; different sort of upside outta the backcourt; huge role in Year 3: Cam’s blossomed into an elite scorer w/ more opportunity (future All-Star?)
