Nicolas Claxton: new wave, two-way big; defensive dynamo in Brooklyn: springy, has great anticipation & a stronger base than his frame suggests: Clax can switch out on the perimeter and patrol the lane v. some of the game’s top finishers; versatile on both ends: solid ball skills + can run the floor and finish on the break - doing his best guard impression, Claxton can handle, in a pinch, and make a play for himself; premiere Watch DOG w/ All-Defensive ability - crazy range & willpower as a shot-blocker, takes matchups personally; plays the boards well on “stick backs,” always an option up top; loves spinning hooks, should continue adding shots off the dribble; classic big qualities: incredibly efficient, massive dunk zone, finishes w/ ferocity, seals well; has added strength, needs to work on avoiding early foul trouble & rushing action on offense; role has greatly expanded over the past couple of seasons: Claxton’s a true cornerstone in Brooklyn’s frontcourt
