JOSH GREEN (CHA)
UNDERDOG
NBA ROLE: TWO-WAY SG
Australia’s Josh Green brings energy & excitement to Charlotte; great shooting mechanics - can knock down triples in multiple scenarios; smooth scorer, plays at an even pace (doesn’t get sped up often); comfortable w/ 1-2 dribble risers - maintains shooting form; raw ability to create on his own, needs to improve ball-handling after the initial catch; must value efficiency, not a dynamic athlete; uses size well as a finisher (likes to seal his matchup and score over the top) - creative, can lean on runners; signature shot: quick double-clutch lay; primary attacker at some point? Green’s initial impact has come as an energetic defender (makes a ton of “sequence plays”); works hard on both ends - found a strong role under Coach Kidd in Dallas*; traded to Hornets (2024): Green could become a nice complement to LaMelo in the backcourt
*key rotation player during Dallas’s title run
