Russell Westbrook: top-flight lead guard, perennial All-Star & former league MVP; let’s start here: Westbrook is THE most athletic PG of all time – it’s evident w/ each blinding first step, (seemingly) impossible finish (in traffic) & mutilating throw down; legitimately explosive from everywhere on the court – rare superstar gene: particularly when Russ decides he wants to score*; exceptional rebounder & playmaker (specializes in collapsing defenses and finding open teammates); walking trip-dub – Westbrook has very few weaknesses; feasts below the 3-pt. line, loves pull-up Js after 1-2 bounces & attacking the rim if afforded a beat; still prone to turning the ball over and is vilified for poor shot selection but Russ has a genuine, alpha mentality; does not understand what it means to take a game off or play lax • insatiable hunger to win, wants to destroy you in the process**; re-signed w/ Clippers (2023) – Russ is a culture shaper & perfect for LA(C): Clips can contend at full strength: will Russ soon add NBA Champion to his illustrious resume?
