LA’s 17th pick in 2023, Jalen Hood-Schifino is hoping to earn the unofficial title of: “LA’s SG of the Future”; 6’5, attack-oriented two: JHS prefers to drive hard to the rim, utilizes slight hezzies and dribbles to throw his defender off before going up; needs to rework shooting motion: currently, JHS isn’t as deliberate as he needs to be from a release standpoint; must work on pull-up game (soft touch isn’t there yet); advanced playmaking IQ for such a young player; patience is necessary in his development: a top prospect for LAL heading into 2024-25, JHS must master the art of playing efficiently in short stretches - Lakers are deep at guard, can JHS steal some minutes as the season rolls along?
