Luke Kennard can put the ball in the basket, has made his name as a sniper & outside scorer; lefty gunner – Kennard cashes open looks, loves to spot up, fast release; able to get buckets on the move, unassisted: does a good job of reading the defender’s close-out, makes 'em pay w/ either a blow-by, pull-up, or step back jumper; good footwork for his 6’5 frame, however the jury is out on his ability to check larger guards & forwards (could spend time at the 3?); needs to work on extra passing & playmaking off curls (lobs up top, kick outs to shooters); undervalued, graduated to Star UnderDOG a few years back – landed w/ Grizz (2023), Luke’s an X-Factor, takes some pressure off MEM’s primary threats
