2023 National Champ Jordan Hawkins is just what the doctor ordered for New Orleans: another movement shooter (to pair alongside Trey Murphy III) who can find his way around screens, spot up & fire from deep however much he pleases; game will really open up playing off so much established talent, particularly on the offense end - the moment you don’t pay Hawkins any attention, that’s when he burns you; could play a prime role as a sniper during his 1st couple of seasons, but don’t sleep on Hawk’s overall game, notably as a playmaker & finisher (good dexterity and control heading to the rim); needs to continue to improve as a defender and work on additional moves off the bounce; nice upside, could be a missing link for New Orleans to maintain key depth as the team makes a playoff push in 2025
