COLE ANTHONY (ORL)
UNDERDOG
NBA ROLE: CREATIVE, SCORING COMBO GUARD
UNC’s Cole Anthony is a crafty combo guard w/ natural skill as a shot-maker & creator; tight dribble, gets to spots without much difficulty, able to score with a variety of Js, runners & finishes going downhill; lots of ways to score: Cole does a lot of damage with short shots near the basket - attacks the baseline well, knows the correct angles to exploit after a screen; shoots sort of a fadeaway J (especially from midrange), has a lot of confidence in his scoring ability w/ a live ball; underrated playmaker, making the right reads will create even more opportunity to run the show as a secondary playmaker; good outside shooter, though a bit streaky at this point - needs to continue working on efficiency from deep & valuing the correct shot as a primary lead guard; crowded backcourt in Orlando, though Anthony still has a role as an impactful offensive talent
