1/2 of SA’s youthful, (backcourt) scoring duo*, Blake Wesley’s a gifted guard prospect who can explode to the hole and find pull-up jumpers after utilizing his handle; no slouch as a shooter from middle in: Blake has the propensity to rise after a couple of set up dribbles instead of working around the clock for a score; can really get to the rim when he puts his mind to it - only needs a slither of room to find a seam (still improving as an overall finisher): Wesley features a necessary “giant killer” that stands out at 6’5; plays passing lanes well on D - future disruptor/”sequence defender” for Coach Pop?; adding strength, maturing as a decision-maker, finding a better flow without the rock & prioritizing shot selection will propel Wesley into a better standing; Wesley’s kind of tough to predict: does he project more as a Star UnderDOG or Future Top DOG?; nice rookie year in San Antonio: Wesley has time to flourish on a young squad searching for players to take on roles
