NBA ROLE: TWO-WAY, UTILITY PLAYMAKER
Chicago’s own Ayo Dosunmu: an adaptable PG who’s quickly developed into a special role player on his hometown Bulls; strong defender w/ great anticipation and instincts, able to check smaller PGs, twos and (some) threes - Ayo does a great job of contesting and sliding feet without being unnecessarily aggressive; always in passing lanes, skies for blocks & boards if able to close the distance in time; great control of the rock, can operate outta the PnR and attack the basket (downhill) - full-time (amateur) lead guard who’s adjusted to playing off ball (as a 2 or 3) and creating action within the flow of the offense - has his head up looking to move the ball or find a streaking teammate; budding attack as a scorer: comfortable with short floaters in the paint, relies on a couple signature, 1-2 dribble pull-ups between the lines; accurate long-range threat in limited attempts (keeps himself available spotting up, won’t hesitate on any open attempt); continuing to improve true PG skills, his outside shot and developing more options as a pull-up scorer will open up the game even further; calm & collected on the court*, never rattled regardless of the situation/plays under control (advanced basketball IQ) - Coach Donovan has the luxury of placing Ayo in a variety of different lineups; needs to rediscoover flow w/ in Chicago but Ayo has rare leadership qualities for a player his age - very poised: does whatever it takes to win
*fits everywhere defensively, can play w/ anyone on offense due to natural PG/playmaking instincts
