Despite being one of the youngest players in the game, Jalen Duren’s possessed an NBA-ready physique (& athleticism) from the jump; sheer strength & “roll ability” has aided Duren’s early efforts on the glass and in the lane; one of the most dominant, young rebounders to enter the league in a while: Duren’s physical + has a great understanding of how to position himself and anticipate misses, creating huge, nightly numbers whenever afforded 25+ minutes; not much of an outside shooter, primarily scores via short shots & slams at this point; great lob threat: Duren’s formed an instant, “up top” connection w/ both Jaden Ivey & Killian Hayes; needs to touch up foul shooting & staying disciplined throughout the course of tight games; already earned great favor w/ the Pistons: DET’s #1 glass-eater as a rook, Duren’s upside is undeniable
