Devin Vassell: 3&D archetype who slots in as a “Swiss-Army knife” for Coach Pop; great two-way player - Vassell guards multiple positions, gets in passing lanes & wreaks havoc in transition (sequence defender) - Vassell’s defensive activity & shot-making adds versatility; loves the outside shot (great volume on it), nice catch & shoot option who’s worked to add more options launching & scoring off the bounce (nice, 1-2 pull-up attack); needs to shore up decision-making w/ a live ball, finishing through contact & finishing in-between the lines; does well in uptempo settings, has become a reliable option on the break; plays well alongside Victor Wembanyama, Keldon Johnson & Jeremy Sochan*; do-it-all wing with a nice ceiling: Vassell’s already counted on for consistent defense & perimeter scoring in Coach Pop’s lineup - Vassell’s the perfect “Robin” next to Wemby: can the Spurs make a postseason push in 2025?
