The younger bro. of (fellow lead guard) Tyus Jones, Tre Jones is coming along at a very nice pace in San Antonio; highly skilled playmaker who knows what it takes to lead and get teammates involved; under control at all times, aids an impressive stop & go attack - nice downhill attacker; three-level scoring upside: Jones is comfortable in the lane (runners & short Js, advanced finishing at the cup), can rise up behind screens & make defenders pay; similar traits to Tyus: competes very hard defensively (great hands, is normally positioned well for steals), takes care of the ball while having a positive impact on playmaking & efficiency; still improving as a catch & shoot, outside scorer - needs to focus on scoring & remaining at a high-level without the ball; likes to get out and run; must focus on establishing a strong dynamic w/ Victor Wembanyama during his 1st couple of seasons; Spurs’ Undisputed X-Factor: Tre made a leap in 2022-23: one of SA’s primary playmakers
