NBA ROLE: CREATIVE, ALL-AROUND PLAYMAKER

 

In every draft, there always seems to be an early second rounder w/ college success that practically fell for no reason - 2022’s version is talented Canadian PG Andrew Nembhard; Nembhard will play in the league for a very long time: intelligent, innate playmaker w/ a very natural feel for getting teammates into the right spots for success; good outside shooter, percentages from downtown should hover around 37-39% during the outset of his career; strong pull-up shooter; plays “in the moment,” doesn’t get too high or too low regardless of the situation; has proven the ability to tally tons of dimes in a featured role: ambidextrous distributor, excellent lob passer - disguises floaters into dishes on a regular basis - makes eye contact with teammates and finds them for easy buckets; really quarterbacks the action, similar to how Tyrese Haliburton does it; sticky defender, can make like difficult with simple ball pressure; shoring up overall efficiency and harnessing a couple of more key shots off the bounce are some of Nembhard’s next steps; quickly became a favorite amongst Pacers fans - full-time starting guard in 2024?
